If you are the Howard Carman that Graduated from Palisade in '66, we would like to invite you to the 50th reunion in Palisade on 23 September. If you are that Howard, please reply to the above email.
Thanks

It is sad that an icon like The Big Thomson Indian Village is no longer! I am the owner of the Estes True Value store in Estes Park and know how attached to a business one can become. I hope Howard and Lena continue to heal through this great loss.
I don't know if they have any plans to leave their sign in place, but if they ever decide to let it go, I would be honored to use it to advertise Estes True Value.
Best Wishes,
Bill Prohs

Hello Howard And Lena Carmen! We just got home for our yearly trip to Estes. We stopped by your place and she'd some tears and said more prayers for you. We miss you guys so much it hurts! We would like to help you if we could. We brought our new puppies with us and stayed at 2 Eagles Resort as usual but now it's called Lodge.

Here we are with one of our new puppies! I remember Howard telling Jerry it would be fun to go see his OX Ranch in Montana where Custer and Roosevelt ran through and Custers treasure is suppose to be there somewhere. We hope you remember us. We wild love to hear from you and keep in touch! The much prayers and love, Jerry and Carrie Williams

Hello Lena and Howard,
We have been trying to send a card, however it was returned to sender.
If you would be so kind as to get us your contact info/address/phone/current email so that we can get this to you, that would be wonderful.
Thanks so much and best,

Howard and Lena,
I just drove up to Estes Park through the Big Thompson Canyon this weekend. It was the first time I became aware that your Indian Village and home had been destroyed by the recent flood. It was a heartbreaking site, and I could feel the intensity of this loss. But I want you to know how much this place meant to me. Estes Park has always been like a restorative retreat. Once I would drive up the canyon and see your Indian Village sign just around the curve, I would be comforted to know I was not far away from these majestic mountains! Lena, you helped me pick out a lovely turquoise and silver cross necklace that I wear often. You also told my husband, a photographer, about the big horn sheep that visit in the rocky hillside nearby. From this he was able to capture a beautiful image of two rams resting on red rocks just across from your store. We would like to send a copy of this to you. Thanks for all the many years and memories you gave us. I am of Native American (Choctaw) heritage, and Lena, you and I discussed this at length one time at your store. I will miss seeing you both, but please know how much your spirits touched the lives of many people. Godspeed, my friends, and on to new beginnings...

sorry about loss. our home on hummingbird lane was also taken away from us during the flood. We discovered a few items, drums, caught in the debris, on our property , that i believe might have been from your store and would like to return them to you. please email back with a contact so we can return them to you.
